The Short Answer

 

Natural justice is mainly to do with process. What the Americans call "due process".  It has nothing to do with the fairness or correctness of the merits of the decision itself.

 

According to Roman law certain basic legal principles are required by nature, or so obvious that they should be applied universally without needing to be enacted into law by a legislator.

Natural justice includes the notion of procedural fairness and I set out the generally accepted guidelines:

 

1.      Adequate notice of any charge must be given.
