The main principle in this Act is that there must be what is known as a "cooling off" period if somebody purchases goods following a seller coming to your private residence.
The Act deals with credit sales at places other than business premises.
It therefore covers the practice of sellers coming to your private residence and getting you to buy, say, a vacuum cleaner or a set of books on credit.
